Our History
Pro Care was founded with one ambulance in 2000 by Tony Thrash, its current president and CEO. From the beginning, Pro Care has been committed to providing the highest level of service to its medical facility customers and to the patients it transports.
Pro Care's unyielding focus on providing compassionate and professional care that's always on-time has helped the company become the leading private ambulance provider in Gwinnett County. Today Pro Care operates over 20 ambulances, employs over 100 people, transports more than 19,000 patients per year, and has contracted to serve eight hospitals and numerous nursing homes and hospices in greater Atlanta.
During this decade of growth, Pro Care three times partnered with investors to help finance its growth. The most recent investment in the company came from Acuity Capital Partners, a Chicago-based private equity firm, at the end of 2010.
In 2009, Pro Care was named one of the top 25 businesses in Gwinnett County by the Chamber of Commerce.
